£185,420 for new equipment at NHS services in the City

Friends Trustees are delighted to have funded new specialist equipment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and for community and mental health services across Brighton & Hove during 2011. Innovative new items include a Fibroscan in the Hepatology and HIV departments to aid the diagnosis of liver disease; a waterproof cordless foetal heart monitor for use by women in labour; and an exercise treadmill to assist patients needing rehabilitation.
