2008 Donations to Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals total £66,200 to provide:

•Accident and Emergency – Convert a storage room into a quiet room

•Anaesthetics - equipment to ensure safer patient breathing

•Egremont/Catherine James Ward – Ten portable Compressor Nebulizers, 20 fans, electric bed

•Learning and Development Department – Dressing Trolley

•Digestive Diseases Ward – Highback patient chairs and visitors chairs

•Medical and Surgical Assessment Unit – Equipment for a quiet room

•Medical Photography Department – Video Equipment Package

•Peritoneal Dialysis Department – Music CDs

•Physiotherapy Department – Exercise Stimulator

•Trevor Mann Baby Unit - £25,000 for very high performance baby ventilator

•Trust Arts Advisory Committee – various art projects

2008 Donations to South Downs Health NHS Trust total £41,500 to provide:

•Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team – Equipment for diagnosis and treatment of Aphasia

•Children and Families Department – Four Otoscopes

•Community Nursing Team – Ten Doppler Probes and two Pulse Oximeters

•Dental services - Portable drills, small handpieces, portable scaler and teaching aids

•Falls Prevention Service – 24 hour ECG machine, Emergency Lifting Cushions and portable digital Oximeter

•Integrated Community Equipment Service – Two new beds and chair for larger patients and Hoist Scales

•Intermediate Care Service - slings to support standing, weigh scales

•Occupational Therapy Department – Wax bath, large heat pan and assessment kit

•Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Department – Portable DVD players with training DVDs

•Seaside View Child Development Centre – Camcorder and accessories

•Speech and Language Therapy Centre, Shoreham – Talking Mat, Eye-com board, Printer and Scanner

•Sussex Rehabilitation Centre, Brighton – Wheelchair for larger patients, height-adjustable work bench

2008 Donations to East Sussex Downs and Weald PCT total £5,000 to provide:

Community Rehabilitation Team - Cognitive programme material, pressure splints, audio therapy stool

•Rehabilitation Centre, Polyclinic and Inpatient Ward - water cooler

•Community Rehabilitation and Physiothrapy teams - Pulse Oximiters
